It is a condition of licence that the licensee comply with each section and
subsection of the Promise of Performance, and appendix "A" where
applicable, which are part of its license.

Section A - Language of Programming

1. The principal language of broadcast will be: ENGLISH

Section B - Station Production

The applicant undertakes to broadcast a minimum of: 126:hrs (hrs:mins) of
station-produced programming per broadcast week*.


Section C - Spoken Word*

The applicant undertakes that during each broadcast week*

1. Total Spoken Word*

   The minimum level of subcategories 11-News and 12-Spoken Word-Other
   will be: 37:00 (hrs:min), or: 29% of the broadcast week*.


Section D - Advertising* SEE CRTC D93-430

   a) (Only community station should answer this question)
   The maximum level of Category 5 advertising will be: minutes of the
   broadcast week*.
   The maximum number of minutes from category 5 - Advertising that will
   broadcast in an hour, excluding ethnic program periods will be:
   minutes.

   The maximum number of minutes from category 5 - Advertising that will be
   broadcast in an hour during ethnic program periods will be:   minutes.

b) (Only campus stations should answer this question)

   The maximum level of category 5 - Advertising will be: 252 minutes of the
   broadcast week*.

   The maximum number of minutes from category 5 - Advertising that will be
   broadcast in an hour will be*: 2 minutes.

   The applicant undertakes that all material from Category 5 - Advertising
   will conform to the following restriction:

   'The Commission will permit simple statements of sponsorship which
   identify the sponsors of a program or of the station. Such statements
   may incorporate the name of the sponsor, the business address, hours of
   business and a brief general description of the types of services or
   products which the sponsor provides, including the price, name and brand
   name of the product. Such statements must not contain references to
   convenience, durability or desirability or contain other comparative or
   competitive references.'

Section E - Music Categories 2 & 3*

note: Subsection 4 does not apply to French-language situations

The applicant undertakes that, during each broadcast week*:

1. Music - Subcategory 21*

   The maximum percentage of the station's total music programming that
   will come from Subcategory 21 will be: 40%.

2. Music - Category 3*

   The minimum percentage of the station's total music programming that
   will come from category 3 will be: 20%.

3. Maximum Repeat Factor*

   The maximum number of times a distinct musical selection is broadcast
   will be: 5

4. Hits*

   The maximum percentage of musical selections qualifying as hits will be: 5

5. Canadian Content*

   The minimum level of Canadian selections will be:

   30% of all musical selections broadcast within content category 2*

   where applicable, the minimum level of Canadian selections will be:
   10% of all musical selections broadcast within content category 3*

   __% of all musical selections broadcast within ethnic program* periods

6. Language of vocal selections*

   The principal language of Category 2 vocal music* selections will be
   English.  At least ______% of Category 2 vocal music* selections
   broadcast each week will be in this language.

Section F - Station Policies

The applicant undertakes during all hours of broadcast to accept as
condition of licence:

   A. to adhere to the broadcast code for advertising to children (CRTC
   Circular No. 341, dated February 5, 1988) as amended from time to time and

   B. to adhere to the industry code on sex-role portrayal
   (Public notice CRTC 1990-99, dated October 26, 1990), as amended from

Section G - Block Programs

(This section only applies to campus/community stations)

   The applicant will devote at least: 75% of the broadcast week* to
   focused spoken word programs, specialised block programs that showcase
   particular types of music, or programs targeted to identifiable groups
   within the community.


Section H - Educational Programming (N/A)

(This section only applies to instructional stations)

   The applicant will devote at least: hours per broadcast week to formal
   educational programming that provides academic instruction.
