Entra Season (2000) Committee Report for BoD 25Jan2001 Chantal Barrette & Gillian Veitch Now that the Entre season (December 18-December 31st, 2000) is over, and we have had time to reflect upon the experiences of these 2 weeks, we are better able to objectively give an account of the problems we encountered, the good things that came out of this experience, and what we both learned from taking on this responsibility. We both consider this experience to have been a great success, after all, the building is still standing isn't it? In total; 40 people were involved in the Entre season, and broadcast for 71 hours, roughly from 5-10 p.m. each night. Along with Alec Kirkcaldy, we were the executive producers and operators for the most part, excepting the help we had from operators such as Jarrett Prescott, Kristine Williams, Barbara and Henry Holtmann and Paul Cleveland. It's true that we did encounter some minor problems along the way, but the positive experiences far outweighed any negative ones. One of the best experiences we had was being able to introduce new programmers to Trent Radio. We enjoyed the excitement and vitality they brought to their shows. The problems we encountered included problems with late programmers, and a slight problem with locking- up. We discovered that when the people who are in charge change, some people have trouble dealing with the change in authority. This was exemplified by the behaviour of some of the regular Trent Radio programmers. As not everyone took off their shoes, a bit of mess was created which we attempted to clean up to the best of our ability. Another small problem was encountered when both of us became hopelessly addicted to the chocolate star candies in the Trent Radio House and ended up with upset stomachs. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to take on such a large responsibility as running Trent Radio, mostly for the opportunity to meet new people and learn better organizational skills. We have gained a new appreciation for anyone who has undertaken the same responsibility as we have done. All in all, we feel that everything went smoothly, that we learned alot and had alot of fun being a part of Trent Radio over the Christmas break.
