Publicity / Trout Rodeo Report for Trent Radio Board Meeting 19Jun02 From: Ellen Waterman Hi John, Here's my short report for what will likely be my last (sad face) board meeting with y'all. With the help of Michael Waterman and many excellent Trent Radio reporters, Trout Rodeo was produced for the end of the school year. While working on it, I was nostalgically aware of just how fond I am of Trent Radio, and what a wonderful community it is. From all reports 2001/2002 was a banner year for programming and events! As many of you know, I am now moving on from Trent to the University of Guelph where I'll take up a position in the music department this summer. Michael, Nicholas, Elizabeth and I will miss Peterborough - the university, our friends, fellow noise and art makers, but most particularly the community of Trent Radio! Thanks for all your support over the past four years. Because of this major change in my life, I feel that I must regretfully resign my position with the board of Trent Radio, but please believe that I will keep in touch with you all. Trent Radio has made me a fan of campus/community radio for life! In particular I want to thank Barb and John for their friendship, aid in times of trouble, and wonderful pedagogical inspiration. A final word - you might like to check out Musicworks Magazine this fall for an article I've written on the Mannlicher Carcano Radio Hour. It has a lot of things to say about Trent Radio's support of avant-garde programming. The issue will have an accompanying CD with 90, 10 second "mixes" from the show. All the best for the future of Trent Radio! Ellen Waterman
