Music Committee Report for AGM

The Board of Directors this year set up a Music Committee in an attempt to 
find solutions to some of the music problems at Trent Radio as well as to 
ensure that those things that were working well continued to to so.  The 
Committee was also intended to act as a laison between programmers and 
Brian Hughes, Music GUY, so that the people actually using the music 
had a more direct say in its selection, etc.

While the Committee kept most of these intentions in mind, this first year 
ended up being a time to lay the groundwork.  A lot of time was spent 
trying to isolate the most important and fundamental problems concerning 
music so that some direction could be given to possible solutions.  the 
role of the Music GUY, Trent Radio's relationship with record 
companies and security were some of the aspects the Committee explored.  
now that a framework has been set up we hope that this next year we will be 
able to implement some of these changes.  We also hope to more fully 
fulfill the second part of our mandate and get more programmer input.  
anybody interested in being a part of the Music Committee does not have to 
be a part of the Board so if you have any ideas please let them be known.
