MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF TRENT RADIO, held at #5 Fleming Place, Peterborough Ontario, on 3 June 1996. P R E S E N T: Andrew Fogarasi, Scott Gordon, Lisa Howard, and Suzie Young, being Directors of the Corporation Also present; Barb Woolner - Programme Director REGRETS: Barb Bell, Darcie Death, John K Muir. The meeting was called to order at 6:15 p.m. with Scott Gordon acting as Chair and Lisa Howard acting as secretary. With all the directors being notified of the time and place of the meeting, and a quorum present the meeting was declared duly constituted. An agenda was agreed upon and discussion followed. Previous Minutes: The minutes of the previous Board of Director's meeting were unavailable. Programme Director's Report: No report. Committees: As was discussed at last meeting the C.R.T.C. application needs a letter from the bank for approval. The letter was achieved. Two thousand dollars were given to John Mathews at Promethean. The E.T.A. for the frequency change is therefore sometime in August or September. We have a demand loan with payments of five thousand dollars. Trent Radio's proposal for a summer student grant was not approved. Programming will be organised by volunteers. The Music Situation: Trent Radio now has a new Music Director: Jean Reno. Jean Reno will deal with record companies. Jean can be reached at JReno@trentu.ca Jonathan Priddle has been hired to do archiving. The Money Situation: Trent Radio has an operation budget of seven to eight thousand dollars for bills over the summer. Any Other Business: A letter was sent expressing disappointment with the lack of food at the Trent Winds benefit. The arrangement with Trent Winds was that food would be provided. Suzie Young has made an arrangement with Kaos to exchange movie reviews for advertising. The Comparative Development study of Trent Radio is complete, but not yet available.
