MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF TRENT
        RADIO, held at Peter Robinson College, Senior Common Room,
        Peterborough Ontario, on 6 December 1996.

P R E S E N T:
        Franca Cioffi, Andrew Fogarasi, Dean Girard, Danielle
        Tassie & Emily Watkins, being Directors of the
        Corporation

Also present; Barb Woolner, PD & John K Muir, GM

R E G R E T S: Barb Bell & Lisa Howard

The meeting was called to order at 2:15 p.m. with Andrew Fogarasi acting as
Chair and John Muir acting as secretary, in the absence of Lisa Howard.

With all the directors being notified of the time and place of
the meeting, and a quorum present the meeting was declared duly
constituted. An agenda was agreed upon and discussion followed.

Previous Minutes:
The minutes of two previous Board of Director's meeting were
unavailable.  They are the meetings help just prior and just
after the Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, 3 December 1996

** Note **
At the last meeting of the Board the following were appointed or
confirmed as officers of the Corporation.

Andrew Fogarasi - President and Chair
Lisa Howard     - Secretary/Treasurer
Barbara Woolner - Programme Director
John K Muir     - Vice-president and General Manager

Board Development Session.
John and Andrew presented a seminar on the role of the Board at
Trent Radio.

Discussion followed.

It was noted at this time that John shall prepare an
orientation kit for the four new Board member and deliver it
no later than the next meeting

Appointment of Committee Chairs.
Discussion ensued regarding the need for committees.

Upon a MOTION duly made, seconded and carried the following
people shall chair the following committees;

Dean Girard     - Propaganda & Publications; generally, a
                  committee to oversee the production of printed
                  materials & publication for Trent Radio.  Such as
                  the contemplated February issue of Trout Rodeo

Emily Watkins   - Radio Links; generally, a committee to develop
                  contact with other radio and production
                  organisations

Franca Cioffi   - Special Programming; generally, a committee to
                  devise and produce thematic programming not
                  normally produced by individual programmers

Danielle Tassie - Radio Reconnaissance & Outreach - generally, a
                  committee to research and report on the influence
                  and repercussion of Trent Radio's anticipated
                  enlarged broadcast range, with a view to planning
                  extended outreach initiatives.

Barb Bell       - Fundraising & Special Events.

John Muir       - Physical Plant and Technical Facility.

It was noted at this time that committee chairs shall prepare
a brief report for the next meeting outlining preliminary
plans and respective committee membership.

Andrew Cousins continues to chair the Freq and Power Committee, while
Jean Reno chairs the Music Committee

Any Other Business:

We forgot to appoint a Vice-Chair

It was noted the Chair has promised a written agenda in
advance of the next BoD meeting ...

The next meeting was set for Friday, 10 January 1997 at 2pm in the
Senior Common Room at Peter Robinson College.

There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 4:15pm.
