TRENT RADIO MINUTES                                     17 October 1997

        MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF TRENT RADIO,
        held at Trent Radio 715 George Street, Peterborough Ontario, on
        October 17, 1997.

P R E S E N T:
        Barb Bell, Andrew Fogarasi, Dean Girard, Lisa Howard, and
        Danielle Tassie.

R E G R E T S: Franca Cioffi, and Emily Watkins.

Also present: Barbara Woolner, P.D. & John Muir, G.M.

The meeting was called to order at 8:00 p.m. with Andrew Fogarasi acting
as Chair and Lisa Howard acting as Secretary.

Previous Minutes:
UPON A MOTION duly made, seconded and carried, the minutes of meeting
held September 19, 1997 were approved.


G.M.'s Report

    Programme Director's Report:
    Barb Woolner - See Attached

    Financial Report:
    There was no financial report.

    General Manager's Report:
    John Muir reports that Ryan Bloomer is doing a good job.
    He is one of two Co-op students.  Brent Wood has been hired
    on a on work study grant to do Radio drama. David Booton is
    on Work Study assisting with physical plant.


UPON A MOTION duly made, seconded and carried, the report of the
General Manager including the Programme Director's report was
approved.

UPON A MOTION duly made, seconded and carried, the Board appoints
Sarah Bailey as Trent Radio's bookkeeper.

Committees

Propaganda & Publications
Trout Rodeo will be out by the end of October.

Personnel
The personnel committee is meeting to discuss staff issues this month.

Radio Reconnaissance:
Danielle reported that Trent Radio propaganda has been distributed in
Curve Lake.

Fundraising & Special Events
Trent Radio is organising a bus ride to Casino Rama on November 21st.
The return fare plus an all you can eat lunch is thirteen dollars.

Music
A report by Jean Reno is on the way.

Any Other Business
Danielle Tassie submitted a letter to the Board concerning Trent Radio's
decision to broadcast brokered religious programming. Discussion
followed.

The next Trent Radio meeting will be held on November 14, 1997 at 7:30 p.m.
at Trent Radio.

There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 9:00 p.m.
