Board Development Committee Report; for BoD Meeting 29 April 98 / Bill Thompson On April 15th John Muir and myself met with Trent Radio's lawyer, John Dunn, to discuss possibility of his doing board devlopment with us. He has been involved in this in past years, and reports indicate that it was helpful. John Dunn suggested that board members sit in on a well functioning board, to get some practical knowledge of board workings. He suggested that the Peterborough Public Library Board might be such a board, and informed us that it meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month. He also offered to lead a workshop with the board, discussing Robert's Rules, conflict of interest, and other legal aspects of board membership. This workshop has been tentatively scheduled for Wednesday May 6th at 3:30 pm, in John Dunn's office. --+---- added per consideration of Eligibility By-law: from: 98-124 Radio Carleton Inc., Ottawa, Ontario APPROVED Renewal of the campus/community radio programming undertaking CKCU-FM Ottawa, from 1 September 1998 to 31 August 2000. paragraph: 14.
