Report Notes of the General Manager for the 26Oct98 BoD Meeting Sponsorship Chris Tonelli has agreed to work with Gil Wright on obtaining Sponsors for the Spring 99 season. This will include a revised flyer. The intent to to direct our efforts to locally owned, small business, whose are familiar with Trent Radio, and for whom a sponsorship is affordable. Estimate of 1998-9 Student Levy While final numbers have not been calculated, full-time student enrollment is anticipated to be 200 less than last year. This would result in a revenue from this source of $53,400 for this fiscal year - a decrease of $3,000 (5.5%) from last year. This should be taken into consideration during the budget review, schedule for December of this year. Financial Review Trent Radio's financial records were delivered to Don Jacket of McColl Turner on 20 October, in order for Mr Jacket to prepare the annual financial review. An appointment has been set for Thursday, 19 November to pick-up the review documents. Sale of QEI transmitter An offer to purchase the old QEI 675T75 transmitter for the sum of $1,000, by Kootenay Coop Radio of Nelson, British Columbia has been accepted. The terms of payment are $333.33 upon pickup, $333.33 by 31 March 98, and the balance of $333.34 to be paid by 31 July 98. Financial Statement for the Period Ending 30 Sep 98 - see attached. OWSP: Radio Drama - Stephen Moffit Physical Plant Support - to be filled Physical Plant and Tech The secondary VCR has been traded in for a new unit which will play tapes recorded on the VCR logger ($161.89). The VHS logger was repaired, which need a new record head ($258.12). Three input strips for the Eela console (on-air) were repaired ($261.35). A new, replacement alarm system was installed ($395). Trent Radio is Y2K complacent (thanks to B Woolner). Also Nicole Bauberger was commissioned to 200 woodcut printed postcards. They are ready and being priced over the next few days.
